Prerequisite: Druid level 1 or Ranger level 4*.
Specifics: An animal companion may be summoned once per day, until killed or unsummoned.

The Ranger cannot change their animal companion during level-up until level 6. The companion can be renamed through the Crafting Menu however.
When killed it takes 3 days (72 hours in real life) before another animal companion may be summoned again.
*There is a known issue where Animal Companion does not work for Rangers at Level 4 - even though a companion may be selected when reaching 4th level - but it becomes available at Level 6.
