This is the changelog for the TER wiki that has lists of changes without having to access the history of the wiki.

July 2024[]

Rule clarification - use of NPC traders does not justify or legalise muling/item swapping. Its existence is a statement of the responsibility and mutual respect we expect of our players in creating and sharing in a fair and narratively driven gameworld.

  • No muling/item swapping between your own characters either via use of other players, storage containers, etc.
    • Whilst it may be okay to sell an item to an NPC trader and buying it back, the action of selling an item to an NPC must still be IC (i.e. not for a loss) perhaps as a result of attempting to sell it publicly first with no interest from other parties. We trust and expect players to be responsible with this allowance as it is not an excuse to simply trade items between characters, which may still be penalised with items being forfeited or greater consequences. It is still against the no muling policy, especially when abused OOCly on purpose for unfair advantage. Repeat use of this allowance qualifies as abuse. It's a case of, 'just because it can be done, doesn't mean it should be done.'

  • The following deities have been included under the Seldarine: Kirith Sotheril, Rellavar Danuvien, Tarsellis Meunniduin, and Tethrin Veraldé. Corellon Larethian  also supports the domain of Charm to account for his Elf/Pride portfolio. Players wishing to take up faith in any of the newly incorporated deities of the Seldarine (Kirith Sotheril, Rellavar Danuvien, Tarsellis Meunniduin, and Tethrin Veraldé) should contact DM Aethereal before doing so as their inclusion is based upon certain server-relevant lore (not usually options in 3.5E D&D).

  • Called Shot noted to work with a range weapon.
  • Druid and Monk clarified to require a deity that corresponds with their alignment or is one step removed and to be in line with Paladin and Priest already stating the requirement.
  • Prestige Classes have been clarified to need an unmodified rank and not a modified rank to progress into.

  • Updated creature type information for each of the Favoured Enemy feats.

August 2023[]

  • Updated the Getting Started page to include information about the removal of disease, poison, and drained attribute scores beneath the priestly services table. This may especially help with understanding the limitations of each remedy type.

  • Evil Characters has an additional paragraph regarding the roleplay experience and statement on the application.

  • An update has been implemented to enable Rapid Shot for the Wild Shot PrC via the @rapid command, only accessible after learning Volley at the 2nd level of Wild Shot. See notes under Volley for full details.

  • The Wild Shot PrC's level 2 feat, Volley, has had its documentation updated to show that Rapid Shot will be lost upon acquiring Volley and that the Rapid Shot cannot be regained after learning Volley. Such is the path of the Wild Shot, to spray and pray!

  • Playable Races clarifies that homebrewed subraces are not permitted on TER and directs the reader to check if their chosen subrace is canon on the Forgotten Realms wiki.
  • Paladin has Divine Shield and Divine Might listed under its feats section now to show the two feats as options and their requirements.

  • Weapon Finesse clarified as also being applied when wielding certain CEP weapons such as the Light Pick & Fashion Accessory.
  • Weapon Focus now grants proficiency with the chosen weapon even if the character did not already have proficiency with that weapon type.

  • Group Feats, excluding Ritual Magic, have received a note regarding their function with characters that do not possess the same group feat but benefit from the effects.
  • Ritual Magic has been clarified to include non-spellcasters as potential selectors/users of the feat without the increased benefits of having a spellcaster level.

  • Druid and Ranger now have a table for their animal companions to show and to clarify the differences between all them. The information only extends to the 1st level of each animal companion.

  • The combat mode category page has been updated, combat modes previously not properly identified with this category have been updated. The Counterspell and Defensive Casting combat mode pages have been added.

  • Semi-Major Overhaul and General Redesign: Navbar updated to be more practical and relevant; Navboxes have been added to several connected pages to make navigation from a page to another related page easier; Getting Started has been trimmed for ease of navigation, less clutter information finding--including syntax information for a few server specific commands; favicon, community logo, and backgrounds--for light and dark theme--have been updated.
  • Deities are now sortable by their various domains.
  • An in-progress interactive map of Impiltur can be found on Locations.
  • Known Issues and General Tips & Advice have been created for more awareness of certain information and knowledge.

  • Added the Military of Impiltur page (sectioned under Impiltur Lore->Culture), a current work in progress documenting all things Impilturan military and thus especially information about the Warswords.
  • Classes have been properly linked and tabled with their available Prestige Classes for ease of comparison between different PrCs.

  • Skills and Saving Throw have related feats listed to appropriate skills and saving throws; Voice Commands has some missing commands added; Weapons has all the various weapon proficiencies listed now; Languages has a small note about language feats and class; Getting Started has a new section regarding Customization to make it clearer and stand out instead of a short sentence; Impiltur Lore has its current events updated while past events are being recovered slowly;

  • Bard, Druid, Paladin, Priest, Ranger, Sorcerer, and Wizard have metamagic tables. Tables are currently unconfirmed and are based on Vanilla NWN. All corresponding Spells lists to the classes have the same metamagic table included too. Further investigation is needed to confirm information.

  • A Note About the Obscurity of the Daemonbinder's Dark Arts has been added to the Daemonbinder prestige class page and associated feat pages, explaining the stance regarding documentation of how daemonic essences and other obscure arcana pertaining to the class are purposefully left obscure and to be pursued in-game.
  • Incorporation of Racial and Class proficiencies on the Weapons page and its associated table in progress.

  • Clarified the difference between the Spells page and the Spell category page. Specifically, the latter is a complete list of all spells within the module, regardless of class, level, or school of magic and the former is a curated page specifying the new/custom spells introduced in the TER module as well as a breakdown of spell lists for each class and school of magic. Note: all individual spells are assigned to the Spell category as well as the category corresponding to their School of Magic.

The major overhaul of the wiki began in late 2021 with imports of TER forum info to the wiki and general clarification of existing info. The first steps of the Character Progression project begin.

December 2021[]

  • All Classes, including Prestige Classes, now have a progression table that details AB, Saving Throw, Feat, HP, and other class related mechanics.
  • Classes with spellcasting now have their spell slot and known spell progression merged with the table, and the spell section for those classes have been updated to show a compact list of class spells.
  • Holidays has been made into its own page separate from Religion.
  • Domains listed under Priest now has a table that makes it easier to compare differences in domains.

Pre-November 2021[]

Prior to the Changelog page being used, the TER wiki has mostly been set up and edited by Loreweaver. The above are parts of a major overhaul and addition project to clean up and enhance the wiki for player experience.
