This server has a level cap of 8. The following classes may be played, and there are no applications needed for any class and there are no roleplay conditions needed to take on a different class or advance into a prestige class.
Overview[]
Starting Classes[]
Anyone may join immediately playing any of the following:
Barbarian - A warrior who relies on raw strength, speed and heartiness to triumph, instead of refining techniques through study and practice.
Bard - Quick to pick up new skills and information, they dabble in the urban, martial and the arcane but lack the devotion to master any one of them.
- Requirements:
Alignment : Any non-Lawful.
Civilian - With no particular talent for adventuring or battle, they spend their time mastering different aspects of life; not suggested for competitive play.
Fighter - A warrior who through rigorous training and discipline, grows to perfect many different combat techniques and develops a familiarity with nearly all weapons and armour.
Ranger - Although a partial caster, they are not considered as such for multiclassing below.
Rogue - Traps and locks are very common, making them vital to a sustained dungeon raid.
Sorcerer - Arcane spellcasters who discover a natural affinity for magic later in life. Through instinct and a tenacious pushing of their limits, they can come to control and direct their power in a limited number of ways.
Wizard - Arcane spellcasters who depend on intensive study to create their magic. Utterly devoted to magic, their strength is in their spells. When prepared, they are deadly. When caught by surprise, they are weak.
Divine and Nature Classes[]
There are restrictions in place for characters who decide to progress in a divine class. The reason we have these rules in place is that dedicating oneself to a divine cause should be a big deal representing a major life choice, and being forced to progress it as your main class when you start on that path is our way to represent that. Please abide by the following rules when playing the classes listed below:
The following classes have some specific lore associated with them, and it IS required that your characters have valid deities and domains appropriate for their class. Please ensure the correct deity is entered into the diety field upon character creation.
For PC of the following classes, a biography and engaging in forum/discord roleplay is highly encouraged.
Characters may only take one Divine class each (counting Paladins, Priests, Druids and Monks). Their level in this class must always be equal to or higher than half of their total level. Shifter levels count as Druid levels for this purpose and Triadic Knight levels count as levels in Paladin or Priest.
You may multiclass into a divine class later on instead of starting out with it, as long as you can get 4 levels in it by level 8. If you do, you can take no levels in other classes until your Divine class level makes up over half of your total level.
Druid - Guardians of nature, oathbound to protect animals, plants and stranger things in their domain from corruption and destruction.
- Requirements:
Alignment: Must be Neutral Good, Lawful Neutral, True Neutral, Chaotic Neutral, or Neutral Evil.
Paladin - Champions of their faith trained in martial combat, ordained in holy ritual and sworn to uphold the strictures of their religion in all things
- Requirements:
Alignment: Lawful Good only.
Priest - Intermediaries between the earthly and the divine, through magic and prayer they can protect and heal the faithful or curse and wound their foes.
- Requirements:
Alignment: Must be the same as or one step removed from the alignment of the priest's deity. A priest's chosen domains must only be selected from those granted by the priest's deity. Please refer to the Deities page for a list of deities and their corresponding domains and alignment.
Monk - Through their rigorous training they become capable of amazing feats with mental exercise, honing body and soul.
- Requirements:
Alignment: Any Lawful.
Prestige Class Limitations and E8 Progression Plan[]
A character is able to take a single prestige class. Please be aware that with the present level 8 cap, you will be unable to take the last two levels of a PrC. For this reason you'll see those levels crossed out for each PrC. However, a system of progression beyond level 8 is in development and it is called E8. This may open the door for the later level PrC abilities. For more information about it visit our forums.
This topic specifically discusses the E8 system's contents and setup. It is still a process under construction:https://eastingreach.tomb.org.uk/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=589
Class Progression[]
The below is a work in progress, with base class info currently available for reference and comparison.
Base Attack Bonus[]
A character has a base attack bonus that is based off of their chosen class(es). The classes and their base attack bonus can be divided up into three different categories: Combat Class (High BAB), Middle Class (Medium BAB), and Non-Combat Class (Low BAB). The BAB increases with class level, not character level. For example, the BAB of a 2nd Level Fighter who takes a 1st Level Bard on their 3rd Level is still +2 BAB because 1st Level Bard has a +0 BAB.
Base Attack Bonus for Single-Classed Characters
Level | High BAB Class | Medium BAB Class | Low BAB Class | Unarmed Base Attack Bonus (UBAB)
(Monk* only) |
---|---|---|---|---|
1 | +1 | +0 | +0 | +1 |
2 | +2 | +1 | +1 | +2 |
3 | +3 | +2 | +1 | +3 |
4 | +4 | +3 | +2 | +4/+1 |
5 | +5 | +3 | +2 | +4/+1 |
6 | +6/+1 | +4 | +3 | +5/+2 |
7 | +7/+2 | +5 | +3 | +6/+3 |
8 | +8/+3 | +6/+1 | +4 | +7/+4/+1 |
*Monk follows the Middle Class BAB but starts with a +1 AB on TER. This progression gives extra attacks at -3 off the previous attack, rather than the normal -5 and only applies to monks who fight unarmed or with kamas (if also not wearing armor nor using a shield).
Ranks in Skill[]
In general, a PC at 1st level may have a base of rank 4 in their class's skills and may reach a max rank of 11 later on at 8th level; Cross-Class skills may have a base rank of 2 at level 1 and may reach a max rank of 5 later on at 8th level. However, ranks are subject to change when a character multiclasses. Please refer to Skills for a more in-depth explanation regarding class level and skills.

Please refer to the chosen class's table for spell progression. Certain prestige classes provide spell progression, and this only affects how many spell slots a character has--not how many spells they may know or progression into a higher spell level.
