Currently, mounting a creature is disabled due to technical issues.
Mounts[]
Horse[]
The only in-game mount available is a horse. Horses can be bought at the Sarshel Stables. These horses come in four different breeds, and they cost 2 gold to own.
You may also rent horses in order to travel. Dismounting from a rented horse ceases the rental agreement.
Renting horses is currently disabled due to technical issues of mounting.
Paladin is able to use Summon Blessed Mount at 6th Level to receive a free warhorse.
Ownership[]
A character may own up to four horses at a time. Horses linger around where they are hitched or left at. An item is given to remind the character of where they last left their horse to find them once more.
Ride[]
In order to properly control a mounted creature, a character will need to have invested in the Ride skill. You may still mount a mountable creature without Ride, but you may experience some difficulties.

Riding Equipment[]
A mountable creature can be equipped with certain items. The most notable being the saddle in order to mount.
Saddlebags may be attached to the saddle for extra storage for journeying out and to reduce your own character's burden of carrying.
Barding can also be equipped to horses to give them more AC or a different look.
In addition, a lance may be used when riding a horse. Lances cannot be used when not mounted.
If a mount dies, the equipment held by the mount vanishes--including the items in the saddlebags.
